What’s been happening:

I'm a writer-editor living in Los Angeles. I work at the Los Angeles Times, where I run a weekly magazine covering local trends in arts, culture and technology. Prior to that I was the editor-in-chief of Metromix-LA (also published by Tribune/LA Times), a website/weekly mag covering food & nightlife in LA. I was also the Books Editor and Food Editor at the LA Weekly for many years. I received a Master of Arts in writing & publishing from Emerson college; I also pursued a culinary degree at the Epicurean School of Culinary Arts and I continue to explore food, cooking and restaurants both in my work and for fun. I love to travel and have lived all over the world: Israel, England and Tokyo, Japan for 3 years. My freelance writing has appeared in several book anthologies and many publications including the New York Times, LA Times, LA Weekly, Variety and Swink Magazine. I also just completed a graphic novel for DC Comics.
